What are the limitations of your Steam account?
The restrictions are as follows:
- Sending friend requests.
- Open a group chat.
- Vote on Greenlight, Steam Reviews and Workshop.
- Participation in the Steam Market.
- Frequent posting in Steam Discussions.
- Possibility to advance in steam levels (remains locked at 0) or to find Trade Cards during games.
- Adding content to Steam Workshop.
- Post discussions about Steam Workshop topics.
- Access to the Steam Web API.
- Using chat on your browser or mobile.
To remove these restrictions, users must purchase a game or gift of at least $ 5 from Steam, or add a minimum of $ 5 to their Steam Wallet.
Restrictions will NOT be lifted if you have free to play or trial games, nor if you have games activated with a key retail or purchased from other sites.
Valve justifies this decision as a measure to protect users against scammers and spammers.
